Wagering at the Woodlands

It's as easy as 1-2-3

1) Tell the clerk the name of the track on which you wish to wager.
2) State the amount and type of wager you wish to make.
3) State the number(s) of your runner(s).

Types of Wagers

Wagering Age is 21, although any age is welcome to watch live racing

WIN ($2 minimum)
The simplest of all bets. You collect only if your runner finishes first.

PLACE ($2 minimum)
You collect if your runner finishes first or second.

SHOW ($2 minimum)
You collect if your runner finishes first, second or third.

QUINELLA ($1 minimum)
The bettor must choose the runners that finish first and second, but not in any particular order.

EXACTA ($1 minimum)
Like the quinella except that the bettor must pick the exact order.
Exactas are not currently available on Woodlands greyhounds, but are available on horse races.
Exacta Wheel Chart

TRIFECTA ($1 minimum)
Like the exacta except the bettor must pick the first three finishers in exact order.

SUPERFECTA (10¢ minimum)
An extension of the trifecta. Pick the first four finishers in exact order.

SUPER ROLL
When no bettor picks the superfecta exactly, resulting in an ALL type payout, the pool is split with 50% paid out immediately and 50% carried over to the next superfecta race. This process continues until the superfecta wager is correctly picked in exact order.

DAILY DOUBLE ($1minimum)
The bettor must select the winner of races 1 & 2, consecutively.

BOXES AND WHEELS
A simplified way to play many combinations. Boxes will play each selection in every position so that all combinations are covered. In a wheel, the player may chose many different positions for his selection.

10¢ SUPERFECTA
The 10¢ Superfecta wagers payout is 1/10 of a winning dollar Superfecta payout. 10-cent Superfecta Wagering Charts are available at the Program Booth.
