HVAC Technician, Facilities Department

Proposed Starting Salary: Depending on Experience

  • Must have strong HVAC knowledge and possess a Universal Certificate in refrigeration, must supply own tools.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting ability and ability to follow wiring diagrams. Candidate must possess effective communication and organizational skills.
  • 10 Years of roof top air conditioning unit experience.

 

Assistant Mutuel Manager, Mutuels Department

  • Helps the mutuel manager run the operation of the mutuel office. Must key information into computer system, prepare and balance daily deposit, and handle problems and relations of both employees and customers.
  • Ability to read, understand, and verify reports from United Tote system
  • Evenings, holidays, and weekends along with flexibility in schedule will be needed for this job.
  • Needs knowledge of racing and the rules and regulations associated with it. Also needs knowledge of wagering information and types of betting.
  • Computer and ten key skills are necessary along with customer service skills.


Mutuel Teller, Mutuels Department

Proposed Starting Salary: $7.50 hourly

  • Issues and redeems pari-mutuel tickets from a terminal with a keyboard activated by the touch of the fingers. Must be able to accept verbal or written request for wagers. Requires ability to read small computer screen for verification of transactions entered in terminal. The ability to count and make change for large amounts of money, accounting for total funds received throughout the day is crucial. Willing to explain wagering and procedures to guests in a friendly and pleasant manner. Must be able to work evenings, holidays and weekends.
  • Good customer service skills are a must. Previous experience handling large amounts of money and making change preferred.

 

Restaurant Server, Food & Beverage Department

Proposed Starting Salary: $5.85 hourly + tips
  • Service of food and beverage to include the order-taking and delivery of any food and beverage items to be handled in a friendly, courteous, helpful, timely, and professional manner.
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Working knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service-ware, and menu items.
  • Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 25lbs through a crowded room on a continuous basis.
  • Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale system.
  • Must be of legal serving age.
 

Lead-Out, Racing Department

Proposed Starting Salary: $6.25 hourly
  • Proper care and handling of the racing greyhound. Must have a love for animals, strength to handle greyhounds, ability to handle a significant amount of physical exertion, neat and clean appearance.
  • Will require running and lifting up to 80lbs.
  • The ability to work in all types of weather.
  • Shifts: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday matinee, Saturday evening and Sunday.
  • Applicants must be able to work 4 out of 7 shifts; applicants must be able to work the weekends as part of the 4 out of 7 shifts. Applicants that are in school must be able to be at work on a weekday shift one hour after school lets out.
